Walter Gray Hutchens, 82, passed away Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Hutchens was born July 11, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Robert "Bob" & Sofronia Hutchens. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Rebecca Goad Hutchens, a daughter Brenda Kay, a son Bobby Gray Hutchens, and several sisters and brothers. Surviving are his children Ann Crowe (David) Webb, Patricia Jean (Ricky) Hutchens, Gail (Les) Pinnix, Melinda Hutchens (Dean Hunter), Wilson Hutchens; two sisters Mary Ruth Adams, Dorothy Williams; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 Pm Friday April 19, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Hale. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday April 19, 2013 after the visitation. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
