Virgie Marie (Keeler) Vittetoe Daniels, daughter of Francis "Fred" Keeler and Martha Louisa "Mattie" (McCormack) Keeler, was born Aug. 24, 1907, in Marshfield, and passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, in Marshfield at the age of 102 years, nine months and 17 days.

Virgie was a lifelong resident of Webster County and attended the Ebenezer I United Methodist Church in Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Elmer A. Vittetoe; her second husband, Harold Daniels; her son, George Wayne Vittetoe; two grandchildren; and 13 siblings, an infant, Golda, her twin brother, Virgle, Donal, William, Homer, Freddie, Gene, Dale, Montie Blankenship, Leota Mingus, Celesta Davis and Lydia Hyder Kleier.

Survivors include her sons, Elmer Vittetoe Jr. and William Vittetoe; four daughters, Eva Schneider, Jean Hibdon, Judy Shevling and Mary Bowles; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vaughn Keeler; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held in conjunction with memorial services for her daughter-in-law, Eula Vittetoe, at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, in the Ebenezer I United Methodist Church on Highway 13, six miles north of Springfield. (Turn east at the sign). Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
