Funeral services for Mrs Floyd Keyes, 78, Inman, were held July 5th at the Inman Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev Clyde Wells officiating. Burial was in the Inman Cemetery.
Pall bearers were William Kelly, Kenneth Smith, James Coventry, James Sobotka, John Mattson, and Frelent Pribil.
Lydia Estella Keyes, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ralph J. Clark, was born April 23, 1888 and died in the St Anthony's Hospital, O'Neill, Nebraska, July 1, 1966.
She married Floyd Eugene Keyes at Inman, Nebraska May 5, 1908 and they became the parents of five children. With the exception of two years, she spent her entire life in the Inman community. After her marriage she lived on a farm south west of Inman for six years, they moved a mile south of Inman where she lived for 29 years. She lived the remainder of her life at Inman.
She was a member of the Methodist Church of Inman, Arbutus Rebeka Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her five children; sons, Emand, O'Neill, Cecil of the US Army, Turkey, Lorin, US Army Korea, home Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Mrs Clarence (Ruth) Hansen, Inman, and Murl Keyes, Phoenix, Arizona. 9 grand children, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Albert M. Clark, Walthill, Nebraska and Edgar C Clark, Lewistown, Montana. Her husband preceded her in death in October 1963. (Holt County Independent July 7, 1966)
