POQUOSON - Paulette Insley Evans, 69, a native & lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson, and retired from the Poquoson Public Schools Cafeteria in 2009 after over 30 years. She enjoyed painting, and writing poetry, several of which were published. She loved going to the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Alice & Gilbert Insley; three sisters; three brothers; and a grandson, James Sidney Evans. She is survived by the love of her life of 53 years, Wayne; a daughter, Glory Evans Rabon (Dave); three sons, Wayne Evans (Belinda), Chris Evans (Marcie), and David Lee Evans (Valarie); three brothers, Sidney Lee Insley (Loretta), Joseph Insley, and Thomas D. Insley (Joan); nine grandchildren, Katie Richert (Brad), Dustin Rabon, Jacob Evans, Brandon Evans, Jessica Evans, Caleb Evans, Taylor Evans, Amanda Evans, and Christen Evans; two great-grandchildren, Jenna Richert and Brady Richert; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, 6-8:00 PM, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, and other times at Glory's home, 224 N. Lawson Rd., Poquoson. A celebration of Paulette's life will be held Sunday, 2:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church by Rev. Charles R. Stacy and Rev. George V. Insley, Jr. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 11835 Canon Blvd., Suite A 102, Newport News, VA, 23606.
