POQUOSON - L. Wayne Evans Sr., 74, a native & lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. They enjoyed their regular gathering of friends at Messick Point, and especially vacations to Myrtle Beach with good friends, Bud & Jean Southall.

Wayne was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Paulette; mother, Helen Quinn; father, Sidney Franklin Evans Sr.; and grandson, James Sidney Evans. He is survived by his daughter, Glory Evans Rabon (Dave); three sons, Wayne Evans (Belinda), Chris Evans, (Marcie), and David Lee Evans (Valarie); two brothers, Sidney F. The family will receive friends tonight, 6-8:00 PM, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, and other times at Glory's home, 224 N. Lawson Road.
