Born June 15, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio, she graduated from Groveport High School in 1941. She worked at Weiss's Department Store in Marysville, Ohio; J.C. Penny in Muncie, Indiana and Sears in Richmond, Indiana. June worked alongside her husband, John on their dairy farm in Union County, Ohio. June also lived in Modoc, Indiana and Troy, Ohio before returning to Columbus in 1986.
Preceded in death by her parents Marion and Vera Pierson, husband John George Brown II, brothers Orr Keith Pierson and Carl F. Pierson, sisters Marjorie (Micky) Frye, Suzann "Susie" Johnston, brothers-in-law Robert W. Brown and Ret. Lt. Col. Jack Evanko.
She is survived by her children, John G. Brown III, David T. (Barbara J.) Brown and Barbara Ann Brown; two grandsons, Jim Brown of Richwood and Joshua David (Rhiana) Brown of Canal Winchester; two great- granddaughters, Rylan Dale and Kendall Reese Brown of Canal Winchester; her youngest sister, Nancy Fletcher of Whitehall; sister-in-law, Ethel Evanko of Fort Walton Beach Florida; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special friends and care givers, Sonny, Larry and Jamie Miller, Cindy Olzak and Gloria Owens. She was an avid card player at the American Legion Bexley Post, VFW, Moose, and Eagles at Buckeye Lake. June was a member of the Eastern Star of Modoc, Indiana, going thru all the star points and serving as Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Country Culture Club in Raymond, Ohio. She enjoyed going to hockey games and following NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.
