LaROSA, DR. ROGER G. 95 - of Seaville, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home. Born and raised in Sea Isle City, he was a resident of Ocean City for 52 years before moving to Seaville eight years ago. Dr. LaRosa practiced as an Optometrist for 50 years before his retirement in 1997. He was a Charter Member of the Exchange Club of Ocean City, NJ, served as chairmen of the Ocean City Ecumenical Council, WWII Veteran of the US Army Hospital Corp, member of the Cape Atlantic Optometric Association, VFW, and Knights of Columbus. Surviving Roger are his wife, Jane LaRosa, (nee Revord) of Seaville; son, John LaRosa and his wife Suzan of Palermo; a daughter, Julie Kelleher and her husband Kevin of Medford; grandchildren, Mary Ellen LaRosa, Kristen Kelleher, Caroline Kelleher, Kieran Kelleher and Rachael Illari and her husband Jason and great-grandson, Daniel. Friends may call Thursday evening from five until seven o'clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ. A Mass of Resurrection will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from The Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of mass. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
