Mrs. Ollie Millie Fulton Harris, 97 passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Forsyth County on November 2, 1911 to the late Beuford Fuel Fulton and Mary Elizabeth Slater Fulton. Mrs. Harris was the oldest living member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Rural Hall. She retired from Hanes Hosiery in Winston-Salem and was a volunteer with the Red Cross for twelve years after retiring. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Will F. "Mart" Harris, her son, William Gray Harris, three brothers, Harvey Fulton, Ira Fulton and Raymond Fulton and four sisters, Christine Crews, Addie Fulton, Alta Tuttle and Belle Roberson. Mrs. Harris is survived by five grandchildren, Lisa Harris of King, Craig Harris and wife Leann of Winston-Salem, Amy Nail and husband Gary of King, Kevin Sprinkle and wife Christin of King and Steve Sprinkle and wife Dede of King, two sisters, Gladys Kirby of Winston-Salem and Freda Mabe of King, a sister-in-law, Patricia Fulton of Winston-Salem, two brothers, Abe Fulton and wife Shirley of Folsom, CA and Paul Fulton and wife Athlene of Winston-Salem, five great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Vickie Harris and husband Bob Andrews of Rural Hall. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Rural Hall with Rev. Lee Money officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Memorials may be made to, Residents Council of Village Care c/o Sue Tillman, P.O. Box 1750, King, NC 27021. The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Village Care in King for the wonderful care shown to Ollie over the past 7 years.
