Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Lewis Baker and Elsie (Genobles) Baker.
A graduate of Parker High School and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Mrs. Davenport enjoyed reading and southern gospel music.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, W.E. "Wally" Davenport and his wife, Annie of Salisbury, NC, and C. Wayne Davenport and his wife, Diane of Simpsonville, SC; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty McMinn of Travelers Rest and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were conducted at Tabernacle Baptist Church, White Horse Road, Greenville, SC. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC.
Visitation was held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
