Death of Old Citizens
Mother Wetzel aged 80 odd years, and widow of the late Mr. Wetzel; former owner of the well-known tract of land east of the canal and north of the city limits-Wetzel's swamp- died at her residence on Ridge Road above Broad Street, on Tuesday morning. Mrs. Wetzel was the mother-in-law of Abram Bates and John Bankes, two well-known Susquehanna township farmers.
