"EBENEZER CORBIN (Jabez, Clement), b. April 15, 1706; m. 1st Martha Dresser, dau. of Richard and Mary (Peabody) Dresser of Thompson, April 15, 1731; she d. March 12 (or 22), 1752, ae. 40. He m. 2d, Judith Harding of Wrentham, Mass., Jan 10, 1757. He lived in West Woodstock and was one of the founders and one of the first two deacons of the Congregational Church there. In 1749 he was admitted as a freeman with others when Woodstock became a part of Connecticut. In 1747 he was appointed to make coffins in West Woodstock. He was a grand juror in 1760, a representative in the General Assembly from Woodstock in the sessions of 1755 and 1756. In 1771 he was appointed to present a Church controversy to Gov. Trumbull for advice. He d. May 25, 1775. His widow, Judith Corbin of Wrentham, executed a Will November 14, 1780. She made a Will in 1792."
