Joan had a heart of gold and loved to chat with everyone she encountered. Joan possessed many wonderful qualities including her sense of humor and cheerful attitude. Her true enjoyment in life was her four grandchildren whom she adored and showered with love. Joan was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She especially enjoyed shopping and dining out with her Mom who she tirelessly cared for until her passing in January. In her high school years she enjoyed going to her Aunt Han and Uncle Harry's 150 acre farm in Danbury, NH for family gatherings and dancing the night away on Saturday nights at the Town Hall in Wilmot, NH.
Joan worked for 36 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Somersworth High School Career Technical Center and was looking forward to her retirement in June. Joan took great pride in single-handedly soliciting and organizing donations to furnish the entire house built by the technical center that was shipped to the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina.
