Richard D. Rhodes Jr., of Somersworth, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at his residence with his wife and sons by his side.
Richard was born in Keene on Oct. 27, 1940, the son of the late Richard D. Sr. and the late Dorothy (Rogers) Rhodes. Richard graduated from Walpole High school in 1956, received his BA in Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University in 1963 and his MBA from the University of New Hampshire in 1973. He became a registered Patent Agent with the USTPO in 2003.
He has been employed with Grossman, Tucker, Perreault and Pfleger, PLLC (Manchester, NH) since 2002 as a patent agent and previously worked for Textron Automotive Co. for 35 years directing and managing product and process development, quality technology, advanced engineering and intellectual property management.
Dick was awarded 41 patents. He is a past member to numerous professional engineering and manufacturing affiliations.
He especially enjoyed playing an active role in his children's and five grandchildren's lives.
