Funeral services were held May 7 in Zion Lutheran church at Wilton Junction for Carl Wiebel, 80, who died May 4 at the Wilton Nursing home following a long illness. Burial was in the Wilton Junction cemetery.
Mr. Wiebel was born June 14, 1878, at Lowden. He had resided in the Wilton Junction community for 50 years.
Survivors are his widow, the former Anna Sessler; 3 sons, Elbert, Rock Island, Ill., Edwin, Seattle, Wash., and Harry, Wilton Junction; one daughter, Mrs. Rolland (Hilda) Koch, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Stoelk, Wilton Junction and 11 grandchildren.
He was a brother of the late August and Henry Wiebel of Lowden.
