BLUE SPRINGS – JoAnne Sowell, 72, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Union County to the late John Dee Adams Sr. and Bertha Greenhill Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Fairfield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Sowell of Blue Springs; one daughter, Libby Williams (Earl) of Arlington, Tenn.; two sons, David Jolly (Regina) of Oakland, Tenn., and Jimmy Sowell of Collierville, Tenn.; three sisters, Sarah Kelly, Eloise Foster and Brenda Coker, all of Blue Springs; one brother, John D. Adams Jr. of Blue Springs; three grandchildren, Justin Jolly, Jennifer Jolly and Rachel Williams; one great-grandchild, John Landon Jolly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Adams.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Foster, Billy Foster, Joel Coker, Gary Adams, Bud Coker and Pat O’Callaghan.
