Barbara at the age of 20 with her parents and siblings; Johannes, Maria, Friedrich, Magdalena, Jacob and Katharina, immigrated to North America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "Havel" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 29th of March 1894. Their final destination was recorded as Eureka, McPherson County, South Dakota.
Barbara married John MAUCH Jr. on the 17th of May 1895 in Wells County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with 3 children; Siona, John J and Marie Anita.
