Miss Brown was born in Marion, a daughter of the late J. Henry Brown and Hannah Nye Brown. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Franklin Brown, J. Reuben Brown, Henry Nye Brown and Joe Albert Brown.
Miss Brown was a member of Marion Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class, Happy Timers and served as director of the church library. She was also a member of Woodman Life (formerly Woodman of the World). She was retired from Frank Norris Accounting Service, where she worked for 38 years.
Surviving are three sisters, Henrietta Cox of Florence, Ina Garrison (Clyde) of Florence, and Helen Carberry (Harry) of Troutman, NC; as well as 12 nieces and nephews.
