Charleston - John Adams, 68 years old, of Bloomfield, New Jersey, formerly of Charleston, died Thursday at the home of his son, Kelty Adams, in Bloomfield.
He was born Jan. 15, 1905, in Kentucky, but had lived most of his life in Charleston. He married the former Miss Mary Ella Adams on Dec. 15, 1926, she preceded him in death on Jan. 25.
He had been employed at the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston until his retirement in 1970.
Surviving is his son Kelty Adams; daughter, Mrs. Bob Mundt; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery here.
