Mrs. Nannie Pearl Gray, 82, died Friday in Lincoln Health Care Center after a long illness.

The funeral was Sunday afternoon at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Harmon officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her late husband, Charlie Gray.

Mrs. Gray was a native of Wayne County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Payne of Fayetteville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The death date on her headstone, placed in the cemetery many years after her death, is in error. It states her date of death to be 21 Mar 1988, but her actual date of death was 21 Mar 1986.
