Nora Mitchell Davis Lemons, 82, of Sedalia, MO,. a former Joplin and Granby resident, died Saturday morning at her home of an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Lemons was born March 15, 1889 in Ritchey, MO. to John and Amanda Wauson Mitchell. She married Edward E. Davis in 1910. He died on November 7, 1921. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She married Frank Lemons, former Missouri State license clerk at Jefferson City in 1925. He died in 1945.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Edward Davis, Paris Texas; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilma Mosbaugh and Mrs. Eurell Robinson, both of Joplin, Mrs. Irene Ball, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Lois Dahnke, Granby, Mrs. Frances Schillinger, Pleasant Hill, MO., Mrs. Emma Lou Hagen, Sedalia and Mrs. Ruth Palmer, LaMonte, MO.; a brother Charles Mitchell, Chelsea, Okla.; 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at the Granby United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lloyd McKemey will officiate. Burial will be in Granby Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Clark-Shewmake Funeral Home.
