Mrs. Pennington Dies At Home in Tennille
TENNILLE Dec. 31 - Funeral services for Mrs. J.W. Pennington, 50, who died at her home Monday afternoon of a heart attack following an illness of four months, were held at the Tennille Baptist church yesterday afternoon with Rev. John W. Womble, pastor , officiating.
Mrs. Pennington was formerly Miss Inez Langford the daughter of Mant Langford and Mrs. Naomi Martin Langford of WIlkinson county. She had made her home in Tennille for four years, coming here from Bartow where she held membership in the Bartow Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband, J.W. Pennington, and three daughters, Mrs. W.G. Tucker of Charleston, S.C.; Mrs. Lamar Kendrick and Mrs. Christine Paradise of Tennille. Two grandchildren, William Tucker and Johnny Pennington.
Interment was in Zeta cemetery here. Pallbearers were F.T. Brock, Ed Palmer, R.V. Sheppard, G.D. Buie, Gordon Griffin and Johnie Avant.
M.and M. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
