2nd obituary DIED AT AN UNDERTAKER'S. Laundryman Succumbed to Heart Disease at Rose's Establishment.
William Eugene Dwyer of 1418 Oakley Avenue, a laundryman, dropped dead in the lobby of Rose's undertaking rooms, 4205 East Fifteenth Street, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had received the undertaker's laundry in a rear room and was leaving with two large bundles he was carrying on his shoulder. The attendants in the rear room heard a noise and ran to the lobby, finding Dwyer lying on the floor.
A black dog which had always accompanied him waited outside the door until the laundry wagon was driven away an hour later. Dr. W. L. Campbell was summoned to the aid of the stricken man. Dwyer died a few minutes after he was stricken. The body was carried to the morgue of the Rose establishment. Dr. Fritz Moennighoff, deputy coroner, said that death was due to heart disease. Dwyer was 44 years old. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Hulda Dwyer, and their two sons, Stephen, and Robert Dwyer. His mother and a sister and a brother also survive him. He was the proprietor of a small laundry he had operated for two years. He came here from Sedalia, Mississippi, twenty-five years ago. He was the divorced husband of Mrs. Rose Dwyer and the father of Hugh Dwyer of this city.
