Services for Ross G. Miller, 92, of Salem, who died Thursday (June 22, 1989), will begin at 1 p.m. today at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Mortuary, with interment in Belcrest Memorial Park.

He was born in Gallatin, Mo., and was a farmer and town marshal in Elsie, Nebr. He married Ethel M. Terry on Aug. 11, 1917, in Grant, Nebr. She died Nov. 15, 1973. He came to Salem from Nebraska in 1936 and retired from the Stayton Canning Co. as mechanical maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Market Street Church of Christ and enjoyed bowling and walking.

Survivors include his daughters, Violet I. Rawlins of Ventura, Calif., and Geraldine Hoffert of Salem; and sisters, Mildred I. Matchette of Holyoke, Colo., and Vernon Carothers of Elsie.
