From the newspaper "Ampress"
"William F Buxton Is Lost To AMP (American Products Company)
William "Bill" Buxton, a flamboyant personality whose hearty greetings and cheerful attitude readily won him many friends throughout the plant, passed away early in August.
Bill is best remembered for his supervisory work in the Eaton Axel Dept. where he was foreman for about 10 years. During those years he achieved high esteem among employees.
One of the characteristics was the ability to chastise an employee one minute and be on the friendliest terms with him the next. Bill was the type who would sport a pugnacacious attitude over a cheerful spirit.
Joining AMP in June 1948, Mr. Buxton worked as a press operator, truck driver, a centerless grinder operator, die settler and at other occupations.
His first supervisory job came in February 1950. In February 1955 he retained the foreman's position, going on salary in October 1960.
Surviving the amiable supervisor are his wife, Virginia and five children. They live at 31024 Dorais, Livonia.
Bill was born in June 1915 and died Aug 9."
