Mr. Beasley was born January 11, 1931, in Forsyth County, one of four children born to the late Charles Arnold and Fannie Mae Fulk Beasley.
Bobby proudly served our country in the United States Army, Marine Corps, and Navy, retiring in 1968 after 20 years of service. He later worked at and retired from Spencer's Inc. in Mount Airy after 15 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Greene Beasley of the home; a daughter, Kathy Bowman of Mocksville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Neal W. and Tammie Beemer of Stokesdale, Dale L. Beemer of Cana, VA, Bobby Lewis Beasley, Jr. and Kristia Beasley of Ararat, and Janice Beemer of Kennesaw, GA; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother and sister-in-law, Colbert and Lorrain Beasley of Georgia.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by a son, Duke A. Beemer; a sister, Mamie Jo Ring; a brother, Charles "C.A." Beasley; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William R. and Eunice Greene.
A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard.
