Juanita Strong Stacy, age 86 of Lexington, Ky, went to be with the Lord at 7:19 AM on July 9, 2009 Born Nov 10,1922, she was the first of nine children born to Mack & Ollie Strong in Jackson Co, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents & brothers - Harvey Strong of Richmond, Ky; Raymond Strong of Lexington, Ky; & Berlin Strong of Jackson Co, Ky; one sister - Patty Turner of Ohio. Juanita leaves behind three daughters Charlotte Hurst, Jeanette (Jack) Hurst, & Anna Brown, all of Lexington, Ky; grandchildren - Randy, Jimmy (Betty) & Dwayne (Belinda) Hurst & Harold (Cathy) Brown; great grandchildren - Casey, April, Dustin, Derrick, Tana, Trey, Jordan, Zachary, Chelsey, & Ashton & great-great - McKenzie, Randon, Lindsy, & Dillon; sisters - Fern Warren of Hamilton, Ohio, Darlene (Charles) Hartsock of Milton, Ind, Lillian Ramsey of Richmond, Ky & Kathleen (Larry) Garvey of Ohio. Juanita was a loving mother & grandmother. She loved to garden & cook. She loved her church & listening to music. She had been a long time member of Mt Zion Baptist Church & now was a member of the Clays Mill Road Church of God. Funeral service was held 3:30 PM Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro Gary Ballinger officiating. Burial followed in the Strong Cemetery (Big Springs Rd, Green Hall).
