Jackie was born in Bastrop, La., on Dec. 28, 1952, the son of Thomas D. Hudson and Lucy Goodman Bennett. He graduated from Bastrop High School, with the Class of 1972.

Jackie began his life long journey with his loving wife, Teresa, in 1975. He was a loving and caring man, always willing to listen and talk for hours. He was a true friend. He loved spending time with his son and grandchildren more than life itself.

Jackie was a member of the Army National Guard in Louisiana and worked as a machine operator in Bastrop at the International Paper mill for 10 years and then for the past 25 years at Verso Paper Co. in Jay.

He was the president of Western Maine Anglers and a member of Bass Federation. He enjoyed tournament fishing, fishing for crappie with his fishing brother, Darryl, watching NASCAR racing, hunting and snowmobiling. He was also a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church and the NRA.

He will be remembered for the way he loved his family and friends, the countless hours of conversation. The gentleman that he was, he always went out of his way to help anyone that needed help.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mattie and W.H. Goodman; father and stepmother, Thomas and Aline Hudson; father-in-law, Alexander Mcleod; and stepfather, Tom Fallin.
