Lucille Schmitt Hainey, 42, of Roosevelt Street in Salinas died suddenly on the 27th of May in Monterey County Hospital. She was stricken at work by a sudden illness and never fully recovered. Mrs. Hainey was an employee at a club on East Market Street.

Lucille had been a resident of Salinas for the past 12 years and was a native of Kansas. She is survived by her husband, Chester, and son, Gene Glaze both of Salinas.

She survived by her father, Clarence Schmitt, of Phoenix, Ariz., her mother, Mrs. Ethel Guading of Spokane, Wash., two sisters residing in Freeport, Texas and a brother who lives in Albany, Oregon.

Funeral services were held on June 1st at 3 P.M. at Struve and Laporte Chapel with interment in Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Salinas.
