Frank Verhoeve, age 73, of Dyer, passed away Saturday, October 10, 1981 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. Survivors: wife, Frances; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine (Lemont) Wolff of Cedar Lake; three sons, Warren (Patricia) and Robert (Mary Ann) both of Calumet City, Illinois and Patrick (Cecilia) of Dyer; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bridget (Dutton) Soenen of Kansas, Mrs. Margaret Reimer of Chicago, and Mrs. Glieve (Palmer) Hoornaert of Georgia; one brother, Raymond (Edna) of Rochester, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents, Marie and René Verhoeve. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 1981 at 9:40 from the Fagan-Miller funeral Gardens, 1920 Hart St., Dyer and mass at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dyer with Msgr. Edward Litot officiating. Burial in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 P.M. Mr. Verhoeve was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; a resident of Dyer for the past 25 years; formally employed at Interlake Steel Company with 33 years of service. -The Hammond Times, October 11, 1981.
