Born March 29, 1921 in Puente, California the Great-Great Granddaughter of John Rowland and daughter of Alessandro and Christina Yorba de Palomares. Passed away peacefully on May 29, 2011 at the age of 90. Graduated from Puente High School in 1938 and continued her education at Fullerton College. She married Albert Pegorari in 1940 and had one son, John Alessandro Pegorari. An avid horseback rider, Marie divided her time between horseback riding through her early 80's, family gatherings and travel. For hours on end she loved to tell stories of days on the ranch and fond family memories. In 1925 her father established A.M. Yorba Insurance and Marie provided insurance services for over 60 years. She enjoyed serving the San Gabriel Valley and knowing many generations of families. Marie was a long time parishioner of Saint Martha's Catholic Church, La Puente until moving to Covina in 1998. Here she became a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Comboni Missionary League. She was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, La Puente Valley Historical Society and the La Puente Women's Club. Survivors include son John A. Pegorari and wife Angelina; brothers Louis Yorba (Annie) and Elisandro Yorba (Kathleen); grandchildren Regina Cole (Phil); Dean Pegorari (Lorraine); Jennelle Pegorari; four great- grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
