RAYMOND ROBERT PHILIPS, 49-year-old B&O trainman, died Wednesday evening at nine o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maltby C. Younkins, Yarrowsburg, Washington County, after an illness of six weeks. He was born December 29, 1894, at Yarrowsburg, a son of Mrs. Lucy Coulter Phillips and the late Preston R. Phillips.

Surviving him in addition to his mother are a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Callahan, and the following: brothers, Earl, of Boonsboro; Wilbur, of Hagerstown; Preston, of Gapland; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Younkins, Yarrowsburg; Mrs. Bessie Mullendore, Gapland, Mrs. Maude Potter, Yarrowsburg, and Mrs. Evelyn Miday, of Hartville, Oh.

He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services were held in the M.C. Younkins home, Yarrowsburg; interment was in the Knoxville cemetery; Jesse S. Dailey, funeral director.
