Colfax, Wash. -- Service for Nellie Lyons Culbertson will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Bible Church in Colfax, followed by burial at the Colfax Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

 

Mrs. Culbertson, 96, a lifetime resident of Colfax, died Thursday.

 

She was born on a farm north of Colfax and was raised in the Hubbard area where she attended Hubbard Elementary School.

 

She married Raymond Culbertson in 1919 and they made their home on a ranch a few miles south of Colfax. They later settled on a farm east of Colfax.

 

Mr. Culbertson died in 1968. She moved into Colfax in 1975 and moved to Whitman Convalescent Center 1/2 months ago.

 

Mrs. Culbertson was a life member of the Community Bible Church of Colfax where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Irma Stueckle and Leona Herman, both of Colfax; twin sons, Dean Culbertson of Walla Walla and Dale Culbertson of Colfax; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
