---Word was received here yesterday that John C. Trout, a former resident of La Plata, died at his home in Bird City, Kansas yesterday morning of pneumonia.
---Funeral services will be held there today after which the remains will be laid to rest in Bird City cemetery.
---Mr. Trout left La Plata about nine years ago. He is survived by his wife and three children and was about fifty years of age. He was a brother-in law of C.A. McHenry of La Plata.
