Marlene Arvilla Hardman Jones, age 80, was called home to her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2013. She was born October 12, 1932 in Salt Lake City, UT to Joseph A. and Arvilla Porter Hardman. She graduated from West High School in 1952 and married Jack Jones on July 27, 1973. He has been waiting 7 years for her.
Marlene worked for Beehive Clothing for 27 years, and also at Mervyn's Warehouse for many years. She loved gardening and always had a broom in her hand sweeping outside and in Jack's workshop.
She is survived by sisters Betty Atwood and Sandra Smith, brother Gerald (Linda) Hardman, sister-in-law Afton Wellington, many nieces and nephews, good friend and neighbor Sheryl Woodard, and the joy of her life and special little buddy Bart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, brothers-in-law Meryl Atwood and Dick Smith.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, UT with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment at Redwood Memorial Park.
