Assenath Scott Sailors IS and WAS buried in this cemetery as well as her daughter, Mahala Sailors Allison, son-in-law, and two known grandchildren. Moving the tombstone to a different location without exhuming the body and reburying that corpse does NOT change the location of the true grave. This is the CORRECT burial location - a tombstone elsewhere is not a gravestone, but a cenotaph.

"TRENTON LEADER" newspaper: (Trenton, Nebraska) date Fri., 7 Apr. 1899, Mrs. Assenith Sailors, generally known as Grandma Sailors, died Wednesday of last week at the ripe old age of 86, at the home of her son George Sailors. She had two sons, George and A.J., and a daughter, Mrs. Mart Allison and a grandson, R.H. Sailors, and a number of great grandchildren, living here. Two of her sons came from Richardson county, this state, but did not get here until after she was buried, on account of the telegram not reaching them in time.

Mrs. Asenith Sailors died last Wednesday at the ripe old age of 86. She was born in Kentucky and emigrated to Indiana in girlhood. Came to Nebraska in 1868, locating in Richardson County where three sons and numerous descendants now live. Two sons, George and A. J. and a daughter, Mrs. Mart Allison, also a grandson, R. H. Sailors, all of this county, are also left to mourn her loss.
She died from infirmities of old age at the residence of George Sailors. A useful life well rounded out. She leaves seven children and about fifty grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn her loss.
It can be truthfully said that no one knew Grandma Sailors but to love her. May she rest in peace.
