Ralph E. Saunders, 100, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 5, 2013. He was born on November 28, 1912 in Crawford County, IN to Harley B. and Bessie A. (Hanger) Saunders.
Ralph has worked for 30 years as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, and a volunteer at Community Hospital East for 20 years. He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen E. Saunders; and sister, Agatha Fruits.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Donna (Don) Larson; sons, Ronald (Pam), Kenneth (Joanna), and Richard (Kathy) Saunders; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Ralph will be laid to rest in Concordia Cemetery.
