SPRINGER, Sharon Jane - Devoted and loving wife, mother and nana, of Flint, age 59, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Major Mike Myers officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Sharon was born in Flint, Michigan on January 12, 1951, the daughter of the late James and Lela (Bawks) Hill. On July 8, 1972 she married Robert M. Springer in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2006. Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and had a love of saving homeless animals. Sharon retired from the Flint Board of Education in 2010. Surviving are son, Keith Springer and girlfriend, (Carrie) Headrick; daughter, Shelley and husband Larry Donnelly; two grandsons, she adored, Zach and Hunter Donnelly; brothers, Bob and wife Dianna Hill, Jimmy and wife Judy Hill, Kim and wife Sherri Hill; sisters, Shirley and husband Mike Myers, Sandy Hill and Sharlene Hill; beloved nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles; sister-in-law, Linda Hill; special aunt, Florence Augustson and cousins.
