Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City at 10:30 A.M. for Hessel Van Eizenga, 81, retired lumberman of Orange City, who died at the Orange City hospital July 18.
Services were conducted by the Rev. R Van Heukelom and burial was In West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.
Mr. Van Eizenga was born in The Netherlands May 25, 1891 and was married to Ida May after settling in Orange City. She died January 3, 1959.
He married Mrs. Tracy Frericks February 12, 1960 at Orange City.
Mr. Van Eizenga was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Jacob, of Orange City; a brother, John, of Palm Springs, Calif.; a sister, Miss Gertrude Van Eizenga of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren.
