ORANGE CITY, Iowa
Jacob William Van Eizenga, 60, of Orange City died Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the VanEtten-Oolman-VanGelder Funeral Home in Orange City, with the Rev. Stanley Vander Weide officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Van Eizenga was born Feb. 17, 1935, in Orange City, the son of Hessel and Ida (May) Van Eizenga. His mother died in 1945 and his father later married Tracy Freriks Kooiman. His father died July 8, 1972, and since the fall of 1972, he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vander Weide of Orange City. From 1974 to 1985, he attended the Hope Haven Work Program at Rock Valley. In October 1993, he became a resident of Hope Haven Residential Training Center in Orange City. In May 1994, he transferred to the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City. For more than 10 years, he enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Ariz. There are no immediate family survivors.
