    PLEASANT GROVE – Samuel Whitney Hilton, age 91, died Sunday September 21, 1986 at the American Fork Hospital.
    Born March 3, 1895 in Tropic, Utah to Joseph and Ellen Mae Richards Hilton. Married Grace Richins in 1917, she died in 1924. Later married Lydia Allen Ekins, January 5, 1926, she died January 20, 1985. Mr. Hilton attended the University of Utah. He was an Eagle Scout and received the Silver Beaver Award in Scouting. Active in the L.D.S. Church. Served as a Seventies President and High Priest Group Leader. Electrician and worked as an Engineer for Utah Power & Light Company for 43 years, retiring in 1963. Veteran of World War I. Served in the Field Artillary on the Mexican Border and in France. Also, a member of the American Legion and the Lions Club.
    Survivors: five sons, one daughter, Abel J. Ekins, Lehi; Joseph Donn Hilton, Las Vegas, Nevada; Allen Eugene Hilton, Sandy; Robert J. Hilton, Pleasant Grove; Floyd 'Jim' Hilton, American Fork; Mrs. Leigh (Frances) Hanes, Fincastle, Virginia; 28 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; one sister, Verda H. Walker, Washington Terrace, Utah. Preceded in death by son Samuel Whitney Hilton, II.
    Funeral services will be Thursday, September 25, 1986 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove 7th Ward L.D.S. Chapel, 1270 East 200 South, where friends may call Wednesday evening 7–9 p.m., and also Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial: Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Olpin Family Mortuary.
