Darlington- Richard A. Merriam, age 18, of Route 1, Darlington, died on Thursday, May 16, 1974, at a Madison hospital, after having been seriously ill since January. Born in Darlington, April 14, 1956, he was a member of the Darlington High School senior class.
Survivors include his parents, Wilfred and Betty Pickett Merriam; a brother, David; a sister, Jennifer, all at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Charles Pickett, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dale Merriam, both of Darlington.
Funeral servcies will be held at the Darlington Baptist Church, with burial in the Union Grove Cemetery.
