Mr. Weddle was employed by Morgan Packing Co. & Charlestown Powder Plant and retired from U.S. Shoe Corp. in 1973. He and his wife owned and operated the Crothersville Roll Arena in the early 1960s. He served on the Crothersville Town Board, two terms; was active as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts. As a member of the Senior Citizens, he drove the van and delivered meals to the elderly. After both he and his wife retired, they traveled the United States in their motor home.
Survivors include two sons, Edwin (Carolyn) Weddle, Crothersville and Dr. Gordon (Mary Jane) Weddle, Campbellsville; two daughters, Norma Jean Lucas, Crothersville; Ruth Baldridge, Fullerton, CA; special grandson, Michael Stidham; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a half sister, Rosanna Fortner, St. Augustine, FL
