Jeff Louie May, age 78, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Mr. May was born November 15, 1931 in Coalfield. Before retirement, he worked for the City of Oliver Springs and later worked at Callahan Towers.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Jefferson May and Druzilla Ritchie May, by sisters; Opal Liles and Maudine Brooks, and by brothers; Kenneth and Jerry May.

Mr. May is survived by brothers; Hoyle May of Coalfield and Archer May and wife Dorothy of Deerlodge, by sisters; Wanell Bland and husband Ray of Oak Ridge and Norma Jean Graves and husband Bill of Loma Linda, CA, by nephews; Lonnie Johnson and wife Pat of Hendersonville, TN, Don Johnson of Oak Ridge, Gerald Lynn May and wife Amanda of Blount County, and Kevin May of Deerlodge, and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. Burial and graveside services with full military honors will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 am at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
