Sarah was born to Adam & Catharine Nigh Delp, the 9th of ten children and was raised on a farm. She married Charles Ormsby on November 9, 1873. He was 35 and she was 18. He had three children; Frances 12, Ed 6 and Ida 1. She helped him raise his children but never had any of her own. They also raised her brother Henry's daughter's Lulu & Ethel Delp when their parents died within two years of each other in Missouri. She and Charles were big farmers, very active in the church and were always ready to help their friends and neighbors.
