Mildred J. (Davis) Christians age 90 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Cresco died Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Prairie Maison Care Center. She was born June 20, 1922 in Lucas County, IA the daughter of Lonnie and Gertrude (Curtis) Ruble. She married James Davis in 1940 who preceded her in death in July of 1968. She later married Roger Christians in 1970 and he also preceded her in death. Mildred was a devoted wife and mother who was active in her church, the P.E.O., the Order of the Purple Heart and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved music and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her son Michael (Joyce) Davis of DeSoto, WI, her daughter Cindy Davis of Orange, CA, her grandchildren, Alison, James, Kristine and Melissa along with three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and a brother Olan Ruble.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, with burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery both in Cresco, IA. Friends may call at the church on Friday, April 6, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family and is accepting memorials on behalf of Mildred's family.
