Charles August Schostag, 81, one of our community's most beloved citizen's died at his home Saturday night at 1 o'clock following a stroke he suffered on July 7. He had been in ill health for the past four years at which time he suffered his first stroke. His wife and daughter Ola Shelton preceded him in death. Mr. Schostag is survived by his son-in-law Oscar Shelton a brother Ferdinand J. Schostag, one sister, Mrs. Ida Hennig of Goliad and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at 3 P.M. with burial in Westside cemetery, Yorktown.
