Cynthia J. Pellman, 73, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at home.
Born Oct. 12, 1939, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., the 12th child of Joe and Bernice (Pooley) Crovisier. Her mother was the donor of the Lyle Crovisier Memorial Park.
She married Robert V. Pellman on Jan. 13, 1957, in Lake Park, Minn. She was employed with the Harlem School District for 24 years, providing love and support to hundreds of special needs children and their families.
Cynthia and Robert had six children and her life was her family. She was a den mother/room mother during her children's school years and a Cub scout leader. Cynthia was devoted to the care of her own two special needs sons and they gave her the will to endure two years of cancer treatment and outlive all expectations.
Survivors include husband, Robert; all six children, five sons and one daughter; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister and brother.
She is predeceased by her parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
Special thanks to many dear friends and for the love and prayers of family and friends in Minnesota.
The Memorial Service was held Dec. 28, at Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd. in Loves Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established; details may be obtained from the funeral home.
