TIMOTHY A. FALLON JR., 87 of Saunderstown died on April 3, 2013 at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" Fallon for 62 years.

He was the son of Timothy and Hilda Fallon of Fairfield, CT. Besides his wife he is survived by son Robert C. Fallon and his wife Cynthia of Roanoke, VA and daughter Hilarie Fallon Moore of Orange Park Acres, CA her husband Mark, and grandchildren Catlin Moore and Devin Moore.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, he graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, VA where he was captain of the track team and a member of the boxing, football and rifle teams. A World War II veteran, he was a sergeant in the 341st Infantry Regiment. His decorations include the Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Tim graduated from Brown University in 1950. He was Treasurer of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and a member of the Brown Daily Herald staff and the Narragansett Lacrosse Club.

He began his advertising career with Brooke, Smith, French & Dorrance Agency in New York City. Later he became Manager of Advertising and Investor Relations for Consolidated Edison Company of New York. He was associated with the Public Utility Advertising Association, Edison Electric Institute, American Gas Association and American Management Association.

A resident of Saunderstown since 1985, he was a former member of the Plum Beach Club, a member of the Narragansett Gun Club, the Titanic Historical Society, Brown Club of South County, and Staunton Military Academy Alumni Association.

He excelled at creative writing and story-telling, entertaining his children and their friends with impromptu tales of the many characters he created. Bedtime readings of "Winnie the Pooh" and "the Wind in the Willows" were all done in character, often prolonging "go to sleep time" with encore requests. He enjoyed working on his home and yard, building model ships, planes and toys, model railroading, stamp collecting and rifle marksmanship.

A gentleman to all, he enhanced the lives of those who knew him and is without question the best man we have ever known. We are saddened by our loss, but enriched beyond measure by his having been with us.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Disabled American Veterans or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
