Peggy Higgins, 57, of Plover, died March 28, 2013 at home.

She was born August 2, 1955 to the late Herbert & Marilyn (Jensen) Stedman in Amherst, WI. She grew up there & graduated from Amherst High School.

Early on, Peggy worked in Chicago as a nanny. After meeting her future husband, Gale, she returned to the Plover area. She married Gale Higgins on April 12, 1975. Peggy worked at Okray family farms for a short time before dedicating her life to family.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor & gift for gab. Faith was important to Peggy. She belonged to Meehan Bible Aid and later, Badger Bible Aid; in addition to holding weekly Bible study at her home. Peggy also worked in the office at Riverside Bible Camp. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and listening to music.

Survivors include children, Sherman (Jill), Annette (Guy) Hall, & Amanda (Jerry) Friedl; grandchildren, Emma, Charles, Lillian, & Ellie; siblings, Betty (Mark) Syverson, June (Barry) Little, Lynn Stedman, Lila (Joel) Syverson, & Amy Hester; & nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gale in 2005.

A service will be held 11 am, Thursday, at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Stine officiating. A potluck will follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm and on Thursday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Meehan Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial will be established in Peggy's name.
