Pioneer Dies In Tulsa
Alfred J. Burnidge, 90-years-old pioneer resident of Stillwater, Died in Tulsa Sunday at the home of his step-son, J. L. Meinecke. Burnidge was the step-father of Mrs. Ollie L. Walker, 606 Lowry. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church here with burial at Fairlawn under the direction of the Ninde Funeral home. Tulsa Masonic rites by Frontier Lodge No. 48 will be conducted at the grave.
Burnidge moved to Tulsa in 1942 after his wife died. He had been a resident of Stillwater during territorial days and lived on a farm, northeast of here until he moved to Tulsa. A grandson, Archie J. Walker is an employee of the Tulsa police department.
